Screen printing is the process of making a screen printing frame by tying silk, synthetic fabrics, or metal screens to a screen frame and making a screen printing plate by hand with a lacquer film or photochemical plate making method. In modern screen printing technology, the screen printing frame is made by photographic plate making method using photosensitive materials (so that the screen holes of the graphic part of the screen printing frame are through holes, while the non-graphic part of the screen holes is blocked). When printing, the ink is transferred to the substrate through the screen holes of the graphic part by the squeezing of the squeegee, forming the same graphic as the original.
